Having Goals in the Job We Do

Yesterday I received a call from an old friend/ex-colleague of mine. Apparently she is looking for a new job as well and asked me a favor to inform her should there are job vacancies available. I 'interviewed' her of what kind of posts she's interested in hehe... I guess I was just trying to be helpful although I, myself, am currently job-hunting.

Anyway, a few years back, I read a motivational book that was talking about self-improvement and I re-read in one of the chapters where it mentioned about how we can become successful is not because of the job we have, but how we do the job.

It does not mean that being in a higher position will promise us success only to depend alone on the title of the position, but it's how we see ourselves and the job for instance, even though there are two men from the same background have the same occupation, and the job does provide the same opportunities for these two men, but it does not mean that both of them are successful. The successful man is the one who does his part.

It means that they should have goals and they should see it big before they can make it big. So, although we don't have the opportunity for getting the higher or better post at present, but we must know where we are going after that. What we want to achieve, are we going to be in the same level forever or do we have any plans to move one step above? The answer is in our hands. ;-)

All the best to you and you and you and also to myself! grin

Hi Choc Mint Girl, here's wishing you the very best in your job search.
It's good to cross a bridge for new pastures...
though have to be aware not from the frying pan....well, you know.

I jumped ship 5 times before landing a dream job.
But I guess my time was who you know, not what you know.

Lady, may the wind always be at your back, and the sun upon your face, and the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.

Stay young and keep a song in your heart, best regards, Lee.

Uncle Lee: Hi, Uncle Lee! Thanks for visiting and the kind words. :-)

I think it's still exist in our society of who we know to get a better position, but then it always about what we know after that.

Again, thanks for the words of wisdom. You are always welcome. :-)
