Shop Smart

Our pay day was late for two days. In the memo which was circulated on September, it is clearly stated that the Management is supposed to pay us two days before the last day of month end. What happened to the sweet promises by our General Manager? Lucky I'm in a good mood, so, there is no further complaints as long as they pay me and not later than the end of the month. However, I still feel they should have given an explanation to the employees, don't you think?!

Anyway, with the economic downturn affected globally, how are you guys have been doing to be more frugal? As for me, I have been trying hard to control myself on spree spending. Last month, I was broke, so, hubby and I have been reminding ourselves that we must save for rainy days. We don't know how bad can it be, but it's wise to look for cheaper stuffs and shop smart especially for essential items like my eyeglasses. I'm wearing contact lenses, yes, but not 24 hours!

Well, I'm still looking forward to Christmas sales though. It's the only season that really cheers me up. :) Just hope that hubby and I can achieve our goals to spend within budget. :)

We won't have much of a Christmas this year because I'm not working. I looking for work and I found a wonderful lady at my church who is going to help me with my resume . We are defiantly on a tight budget. Great post.

Christmas is going to be tough at my house. My husband and I are feeling the pinch of this poor economy. We both lost our jobs recently. Christmas sales are not looking good for me as of yet.

Dawn: Bless that lady! :) Hope by now you have your resume and start job hunting. Again, good luck! :)

Well, what matter most during Christmas is your loved ones are around. To me, I don't mind if it's only a simple celebration, but I just hope the spirit of Christmas and the true meaning of it will make everyone thankful, happy and smiling. :)

Cascia: Hi, Cascia! Nice to have you here. :) Owh, losing jobs when money are tight is really frustrating. Don't give up! Hope you two will have blessings in disguise and if it's gonna be different for Christmas this year, just remember that Christmas is always around. Cheers! :)
