Choc Mint Girl and Sports

I'm not active in sports, but I really want to delegate my time doing sports once in a while like bowling, badminton, but nowadays, I don't have time even for jogging. Tsk tsk... my life is so imbalance... My last attempt of playing sports was in last May/June, but never in my life thinking that one day I'd be running in the field and play FUTSAL! Ha ha...

Actually, it was pre-arranged. One of the staff sent out an e-mail suggesting us playing futsal versus other team that we don't know of and they said this team is tough he he... As I thought I'd only do the cheerleading (ha-ha!), so obviously I didn't bring my sportswear. I was still in my high heels when my friends and I went straight to the field after work.

However, when we reached the place and the game became real exciting, a few of us who didn't bring any sport shoes enthusiastically joined the team on bare footed! :D It was fun, at least all the stress was relieved until I accidentally kicked the ground so hard instead of the ball! Whoa! It was painful especially my little toe. It still has the puffy look till now.

A few months later, when a few of my friends and I were having a chat about futsal, I told them about my swollen toe by adding that maybe that's how some of the professional football players got injured and have to retire. They cracked and one of the guys said, "Hello, professional players don't go bare foot into the field lah!!!" Ha ha ha...

Futsal is an indoor version of association football. Its name is derived from the Portuguese futebol de salão and the Spanish fútbol sala/de salón, which can be translated as 'indoor football'. In Madrid 1985 the name fufbol de salon and all other names the game was called were changed officially and internationally into FUTSAL.

Futsal is played between two teams of five players, one of whom is the goalkeeper, and up to seven substitutes per team. Unlike some other forms of indoor football, the game is played on a hard court surface delimited by lines; walls or boards are not used. Futsal is also played with a smaller ball with less bounce than a regulation football. The rules create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces.

Sports is good, esp. when you have fun doing it...but it can be dangerous, too...so be careful!

My bro used to come home from futsal or soccer with a twisted ankle or bruises he he he...

Amel: Yeah, I know a lot of guys who play futsal. It's fun, but I didn't wear proper attire, so, at the last minute I have to skip the games because of my 'injured' toe. Hope you have a pleasant weekend, buddy! :)

Juliana: Futsal is just like soccer except the players are lesser and the court is indoor. :) It's fun, but needs a lot of energy to chase the ball haha... Oh yes, I really hope you and Jason will recover real soon. Take care!! :)

KadusMama: Hahaha... sya apa kurang, kaki bangku juga bah ni, but ada chance main, main la kasi release tension and you know la, suka jadi supporter kan... :) Tapi funny la sebab ketawa jak kami di dalam padang tu! :D
