Yesterday was dad's 60th birthday! Wow, how classic and how older he is! Anyway, the party was a bit boring for me hehe... Most probably, I was too worn out because I came back from work around 7.30 p.m. and in no mood to socialize. Dad was cheerful and that's what important most and except for my BIL who's outstation, every one of us was there celebrating his birthday.
Actually, hubby and I wanted to stick to our regular bakery shop for the cake, but I don't know why, somehow the staff wasn't very convincing when we mentioned how we wanted the cake to be. So, we went to another bakery shop and this time the staff's reply was, "maybe, maybe..." which was worst and irritating enough to make us walked out and headed to the third cake shop in that area.
After giving out all the details, the girl seemed to be very confident, and I was quite satisfied. So, we decided to order a 3kg cake, the minimum weight. The flavour was butter with butter icing, mom's fave, not dad's haha... I do love butter icing, however, my original idea was fruit cocktail cake with fresh cream or something else with fruits as a must, but when I called mom for her opinion, she suggested it without hesitation. :D
Age is really just seems to be numbers these days. You don't realize how long you have been living in this world full of unpredictable things and weird people until your next birthdays, and when you do, suddenly you become aware of your health being and accomplishment. I wish dad in best health and happy always. :)

The outcome: very lovely and yummy. :)
