Mysterious Feb

Didn't realize that I've been missing from the blogosphere for 2 months already. ;-) Didn't mean to... I was too busy chasing for the 'mystery man' he he he... Yeah, the game was on since Jan if I'm not mistaken because hubby and I only started to track him down in Feb. That's why I was too tired to blog although I would like so much to update about what I was up to. :-D

Who the mystery man was... Actually, this game was launched by one of the local radio stations. This man was said to be 'stealing' or running away with a stack of money worth 50k haha... No one knew his real identity. The DJ's would give some clues such as a pix of the place this person was at that time or words like 'field', 'veges' or 'billiard'...etc.

There would be 3 sessions; 10am-1pm, 2pm-4pm and 5pm-8pm everyday except weekends, if I could still recall well haha... BUT this man would not be in the same place, he would move from one place to another. If someone spotted him, the person must asked the correct tagline in Sabahan slang ex. "are you the mystery person of ......?" *translated* If the person got it right, the mystery man would not talk, but would only handover a paper indicated that the answer was right. Then, he would disappear.

The reward??? $$$, depending on how much he brought that day, sometimes RM800, 2k, 3k or less and the finale was 10k! *yep, it was over in Feb as well* Huh, SO mysterious, right?! LOL. It was fun though. Since we didn't know how he looked like, so, we had to ask everyone whom we thought was him hahaha... Hubby was asked few times if he was the mystery man and so did I. LOL!!!

Well, I will update more next week, okay peeps. :-)))

Take care!!!

February

It's been a while... Hope so far everyone is enjoying the year of the majestic water dragon and in good health. :-)

January, it's gone in a blink... and FEBRUARY... My wedding anniversary was on Feb 03. 5 years feels like just yesterday. How time flies, yes, but I always feel that it's moving much faster than the previous years. Scary. I'm beginning to think that everyone who's in their mid 30's would now and then suddenly miss those times when they were so much younger he he or at least I felt that way... I miss those childhood days, during those years when I was in my 20's... Miss all the good times with friends especially my family each time there's a gathering...

Anyway, hubby and I didn't go anywhere to celebrate coz' of my work schedule. Well, as long as both of us still remember he he he... and by the way, he never misses to get me something 'sweeettt' tho'. ;-)

Eldest sis' wedding anniversary is also in Feb. I purposely mentioned it here coz' I know my niece will be reading this and she should know that she's not only a bundle of joy to my sis and BIL, but to all of us at home. Ahhh... miss her LOTS! It was terrifying to know about the recent blizzard at their place and they had no internet connection. Glad it was over now and thank you to Skype, we've managed to communicate. ;-)

Another special event in Feb was my youngest sis' engagement, which was held on last Sunday. It went well despite the hot weather, what else can we expect with the weather nowadays. She asked me to bake her cupcakes, and I did with the kitchen helpers, hubby and one of my nephews. LOL! So, here are the LEMON with butter choc frosting cuppies.

Well, Feb is sure is a busy month... been busy at work, too. I am trying to catch up with you, guys. Actually, I've been thinking of converting my blog into 'something' which I have yet to finalize, it's all scrambling in my head! Haha... Oh well, I've gotta go now...

Till then, have a great week ahead. Take care, peeps. :-)

Look, Who's Here? Oh, Hello, 2012...

It's almost the end of 2011. Soon it's gonna leave us and never comes back... all that is left are only memories, sweet and bitter, those memorable ones will always linger on... Oh btw, hope you had a joyful & blessed Christmas. :-)

A NEW YEAR A NEW BEGINNING. :-D Life is short, don't hold grudges, enjoy life and the new year of 2012. If you have failed yesterday, RISE UP, you can do it again today. If you think you have big problems, others might have bigger problems than you. So, look back and reflect. Be thankful and cherish what you have. May 2012 brings MORE love, peace, happiness, luck, great health and wealth. We can't have them all and may not have them in our hands all at once, but we can pick them up one by one along the way if we have faith and think positively. Let's learn from yesterday and make it a great year and so are the years ahead...

Have a COLORFUL NEW YEAR of 2012 to everyone of you. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Cheersss!!! ;-)

Days Before Christmas...

Christmas is just around the corner. Unlike the past years, my blog was still empty without the glittering Christmas graphics even tho' it's only few days left before Christmas. And believe it or not, I couldn't stop thinking about it hehehe... So, here I am. I am still recovering from flu and glad I didn't catch the bugs later. ;-) Anyway, let me recap what's been happening since I last blogged. Before that, according to my eldest sis, my niece is now a regular reader of my blog. *HUGE HUGS to her*. :-D

1. One of the year-end activities I had at work was bowling tournament. It was a fun game and my score wasn't bad where I did strike a few times regardless of not playing bowling for a year... or two... or more??? Hehehee... Funny thing was my arms muscles didnt hurt even tho' we had no chance to practice or warm up, BUT what happened afterwards was worst. Hubby's car wouldn't start so, I had to push the car alone!! *Fainted* LOL. We did take turn tho', but I didn't quite know how to handle it.

1st Guy - A couple passed by and this guy helped to push the car. He's also driving, but too bad he wasn't very much of a help.
2nd Guy – A security, he was gone for a while and didn't even come back! @_@ So forget about him.
3rd Guy – A guy either had just arrived or was about to leave when hubby asked him if he has a jumper, but none. He was ready to help.
4th Guy - Another guy came by and he offered some help without being asked. *Thank you*

When the 3rd & 4th started to push the car, hubby suddenly asked the 4th if he knew to play around with the clutch. He did, so they exchanged places. In just seconds, when hubby pushed the car, it was back to live. Compared to those guys, hubby was stronger hahahaha... What I mean is he knew the correct way to push the car. Am I making any sense? Hihihiii... I guess so.

2. I didn't attend the yearly pre-Christmas gathering with old friends... due to time constraint and other personal matters. Wish we can do it again next year if everything goes well. :-)

3. Staff family day and annual dinner... I was already sick 3 days before the event, I did go for the steamboat dinner, but had no appetite... :-( Now, my appetite is back to normal, I'm beginning to think back about those 'wasted' foods hahaha...

4. Lucky Draw: IPAD. I wasn't lucky this time... not even a hamper... Disappointed, BUT...

5. WOOOHHOOOO!!! Year end bonus $$$ has been confirmed and increment??? Wait and see for the 'envelope'. :-)))

My ongoing activity is shopping for Christmas gifts... and baking (and) that is if I am not lazy. *wink wink*

Till then, peeps... Take care and have a great prep for Christmas & the coming New Year. :-)

Life & Reality

Wow, it's already towards the end of November and soon it's that time of the year again. Christmas. The most sentimental moment of the year. The time when you're feeling homesick even tho' you're at home as my friend quoted. And I am already missing my dear niece. :-(

Life's been good for the past few weeks, ah, wish more $$$ tho' haha... I did bake a banana cake for dad with cream cheese frosting. I've thought about choc frosting, would try it in future. ;-) Anyway, the cake was good, but mom said next time cut down the banana he he he...

A week after, I went for holiday with hubby, the eldest sis & family. Had a fun time and should be feeling fresh and relaxed after the holiday, but came back at work and found a messy inbox of mine! Huargghh... My staff was so not reliable. I didn't know where to start and ended up feeling stressed at day 2 after holiday. Huh! I envy another colleague who recently came back from holiday and she didn't have to scroll up & down her inbox or to wide open her eyes reading and following up all those emails. But the thing is, I think she doesn't appreciate her job coz' the moment she was back, she made noises over small matters. If only she was at my place, you can imagine how it's gonna be. O_O

Anyway, love my job, but am getting tired easily. Hmmm... Am I getting older? Yeah, that's the reality. LOL!! So, for the past 2 weeks, I was busy clearing all those pending tasks while I was away. Yep, what else is new (?)

Then, last week, we had a family gathering, taking family pix. Last weekend with the eldest sis & family before they're flying off to the roman country. Younger sis was here, too. We had a great time. :-) I made brownies and they liked it, but I think it's still lacked of something. :-)

Well, looks like December is gonna be very busy with activities, staff annual dinner, pre-Christmas gathering and yes, baking cookies. LOVE it!! :-D Just hoping that things will go smooth and everyone is healthy. :-)

So, till my next post. Take care & have a great weekend, peeps. :-)

Cookies & Cream

Or cookies and cakes. :-) A cookie and cake monster I am and love to bake them now. After I got my new oven last month, I always have something to bake. On mom's birthday, I baked her birthday cake and cuppies on mine. Dad's birthday's coming soon so am not going to the bakery like for the past years, am gonna bake 'em. ;-) Thinkin' of lychee or mango or banana cake... Any idea what sort of frosting goes with banana cake?

O'yes, I've accidentally deleted a game file in my niece's nintendo. I was afraid if she got upset, but her reaction was otherwise.
Niece: Cooking Mama??? o_0
*A fave game of hers and apparently mine, too. So, I'd be damn panicked too if I've removed this file*

Me: No, Cookies & Cream.
When I said sorry, "it's okay", she responded. Then, she told her mom about it. Well, I've actually talked to my sis beforehand juz to make sure she was as cool as my niece haha... I said sorry again a few times. "Oh, never mind", she'd reply. She did tell me that she had accidentally cancelled a game before because the keys could be confusing and her friends in Italy can actually help to download some games. Phewww, lucky she wasn't mad in fact she sure knew how to make me feel good and she's only 7. Sweet child, gonna miss her tons if she's going back to Italy this Dec and who knows when they'll be back. :-(

Anyway, hope things will get better and everyone is happy. Have a nice Sunday! ;-)
